we stayed for a wedding and had a delightful experience. the charm of the hotel is undeniable, especially the stylish lounge-bar and lovely gardens. everything felt well-organized, and it exceeded expectations compared to our previous visit to harrogate.

The Double Room was a bit small for our liking, and it felt dark due to the old furniture. The bathroom had a cramped layout, with the toilet nearly touching the bath. On the upside, the room was clean and had some nice period details. The location was quiet but still close to the town center, which was a plus. Honestly, it had a certain charm, but it needs a refresh to match the four-star expectations.

The hotel shows significant signs of wear with outdated decor and poor lighting in rooms!!! The lift is unreliable, causing inconvenience, and parking charges feel unjustified when room rates are already high!!!

The room was exceptionally clean and spacious, complemented by a comfortable bed. The grounds provided a peaceful setting for relaxation, particularly enjoyable with food options like the delightful poultry dish at dinner. the lack of air conditioning made the room uncomfortably warm at times, and the breakfast quality was average though sufficient. The staff's attentiveness was notable, especially one member who went above and beyond to address our needs.

Charming and historic vibes!

Really enjoyed the classic feel of this place. The staff were super nice, especially the guy at the desk who helped us move to a quieter room. Loved the breakfast options, especially the scrambled eggs with smoked salmon! Just wish the room was a bit bigger. it felt cramped at times.
